Our Naked adventure Begins

Flight landed and car hire sorted we had a few hours to kill before we could check in which meant beach time. We went to a beach close to where we would be staying and the view was amazing with the golden beach and turquoise/blue sea, and then a little OMG moment as I turn and see a man and woman naked on the beach sunning themselves in the not yet warm sun. I didn’t want it to seem like I was staring so I looked in the other direction, only to see more of the same but them walking around. Maybe it was my ignorance or the lack of sleep, but I was not expecting that! My husband of course found my reaction somewhat funny. I should state though that there were also people there in their swimwear, it’s just the ones without you notice more, right?!
Anyway, now’s the time we can check in and, on our way, we stopped at a shop to pick up some dinner. There is no hiding now, we are about to find out where we are staying and what everyone is going to be like. Would they be dressed or undressed was my only thinking at the time! We sent a message to our host to let her know we were there and she met us at the front gate. We walked up a few stairs and was then greeted by the pool, sun beds and of course other travellers staying there, naked and chatting like it’s the most natural thing in the world! Well, I guess it is really if you think about it but my only thought at the time was ‘SAUSAGE PARTY’ and I was shitting myself.
The host showed us to our cabin in the back garden which was shared with another cabin and its male companion, again naked and sunning himself but polite and said Hi. He looked so confident laying there on his back with his legs open and chatting to us, I was a little like ‘where the hell do I look’! Our host went through everything in the cabin with us and gave us both a sarong that she had just got delivered with her brand on it for us to keep. It’s very nice and we will (definitely) be taking these home with us. As we talked, we told her about the lack of the sleep the night before and how tired we were, so she knew that we generally weren’t being rude if we didn’t show our faces much. We had our dinner, then a quick dip in the hot tub and fell asleep early that first night, not how we were hoping to spend our first day.
Our second day we awoke to sunny but coldish weather, hoping that it would change by midday. It did get a little warmer, but clouds did start to appear, a lot of them. We managed to get out of the cabin though (just outside our cabin as I was still very nervous) and do some sunbathing and yes, naked sunbathing. Also, our neighbour came back and seat in the garden with us (slightly unconvertable for me if I’m honest). We didn’t stay out too long as the clouds got more dominate in the sky and the breeze was chilly but, we did it! By about 5pm it was raining, only that fine rain but still, that was the end to the first day of Naturism.
We did notice throughout the day there seemed to be six people staying within the house and one person in the cabin next to us. We had seen mainly only men sunbathing naked which did make me feel a little shy/embarrassed/anxious but hopefully I wouldn’t be the only female!
The next morning was still a little cloudy and windy, so we decided to go and explore a little of the island. I will say, the main roads here are easy to drive on. We stopped at Mirador Astronomico Sicasumbre where we saw some amazing views and of course took lots of pictures, including with the Fuerteventura sign and two concrete goats overlooking the mountains and sea in the distance. It wasn’t a long walk to get to the top but it was windy. We were back by lunchtime and again sunbathing naked outside our cabin before the clouds came again and we retreated inside. Our neighbour was also doing the same thing and we were starting to feel comfortable with it.
